DOMICILIARY CARE

The package of care will be unique to every individual and the chosen carer will specifically help them in their own home. Every person will have their needs assessed prior to starting the service. Together with the person requiring support and/ or with their representative we will create person-centred, outcomes-based support plan and risk assessments to enable them to live as independently as possible and safely in their own home. These support plans and risk assessments will be reviewed on a regular basis or when a person’s needs change.

PERSONAL CARE

Person-focused and uniquely tailored to suit individual needs, underpinned by our philosophy that every individual has the right to live their life as they wish. We offer personal care tailored to meet client individual needs. These may include

  • Assisting with washing/bathing/showering
  • Assisting with teeth/denture care
  • Assisting with shaving
  • Assisting with hair washing
  • Assisting with toileting
  • Assisting with transfers from bed/chair/toilet
  • Dressing/undressing
  • Encouraging regular washing/changing of clothes etc
  • Feeding/ meal preparation
  • Prompting medication – where necessary
  • Assistance with preparation for admission to hospital, from hospital or residential care.

LIVE-IN CARE

Our care staff will live with the service user, aid them with their specific needs and make sure they remain comfortable within the environment they choose. This service allows people to remain in their trusted familiar surroundings and in control of their lives with the security of 24- hour support and care, instead of moving into nursing or residential care and heartfelt service is available for periods of recovery or as long-term arrangement. Our compassionate staff will be:

  • Assisting with cooking meals and washing up
  • Assisting with making beds
  • Assisting with household chores and budgeting
  • Supporting to go shopping.
  • Enabling the continuation of social activities and/or hobbies
  • Encouraging the continuation of prescribed exercise
  • Encouraging the use of provided aids, following professional instruction.
  • Enabling and encouraging people to self-medicate where it’s safe to do so.

MEDICATION SUPPORT

Our highly experienced and competent staff will be happy to manage your medication and liaise with doctors and pharmacists to order more, or we can assist in prompting you to take your medication and simply be there for vital extra support.

COMPANIONSHIP CARE

Our Companion Care is primarily emotional support and companionship for seniors.  Some people just want to see a friendly face regularly and have someone to talk to and have fun with. Our Companionship Service is adapted to each and every one.

With domiciliary care, you or your loved one can continue to stay in the place you feel most comfortable – at home. We provide ongoing support that’s completely built around your needs and routines. With one-to-one personal attention, from 30 minutes per visit, up to several visits a day or overnight support, our support plans are completely built around you.

ASSISTED CARE

We also offer assistance with the following:

  • Preparation of food and drink and menu planning if required to do so.
  • Household tasks to promote independence
  • Washing and ironing of personal clothes
  • Shopping
  • Collecting prescriptions

SPECIALIST TASKS

From time-to-time care workers may be asked to undertake some tasks, which may be specialist tasks. These tasks may be undertaken following appropriate risk assessments and only after specific training. The care worker will be trained in the procedure before undertaking the tasks with the person with care needs by a trainer with a relevant qualification, e.g., occupational therapist, speech therapist, or nurse. Such tasks may include:

  • Assisting with artificial feeding
  • Changing sterile dressings
  • Catheter care – changing bags, monitoring output
  • Tracheotomy care – oral suctioning
  • Assistance with eye or ear drops
  • Ileostomy and colostomy care
  • changing of bags

PHYSICAL DISABILITIES CARE

Our care assistants have practical experience in meeting a wide range of complex care and support needs. They are fully trained to respond to different communication needs, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.

RESPITE CARE

Our staff could give short term week/weeks cover for family member or regular carer time off.  Our friendly and experienced teams will offer personalised care, tailored to meet their individual needs.

END OF LIFE CARE

End of life care at home allows you to stay in the place you feel most comfortable, surrounded by memories and the people you love. With one-to-one support from a compassionate staff who are trained in end-of-life care, we can give an opportunity for your loved ones to spend their final days in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by their family and friends.
